SKIN TIGHTENING

INFINI Skin Tightening Radiofrequency Microneedling is a new dimension in radiofrequency (RF) technology used to address sagging skin, wrinkles and changes in skin texture.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

  • Improves superficial fine lines and wrinkles of the face, eyes and neck
  • Improves the elasticity of aged and solar damaged “thin” skin
  • Treats scars of all types including acne scars
  • Suitable for all skin types with no risk of hyperpigmentation
  • Tightens loose skin on all parts of the body
  • Potentially a treatment for acne and hyperhidrosis
  • Minimal downtime approximately 2 days of sunburn-like sensation and slight redness

HOW DOES INFINI SKIN TIGHTENING RADIOFREQUENCY MICRONEEDLING WORK?

INFINI combines fractional radiofrequency technology with micro needling. As opposed to other radiofrequency platforms that treat the skin from the outside in, INFINI uses flow needle technology to deliver RF where it needs to be – the dermis. The dermis, our second layer of the skin, contains collagen – the supporting structure of our skin. By delivering heat energy from RF to the dermis, INFINI encourages collagen growth and tissue tightening precisely at predetermined depths in the skin. The result is a little to no downtime, nearly painless procedure that can greatly improve wrinkling, scars, and skin laxity.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?

Very few patients would be excluded from having this treatment.

  • Patients with pacemakers should not be treated.
  • Patient with metal in an area of the face
  • Patients on blood thinners can be treated but will get bruising.
  • Patients with severely sun damaged skin will theoretically respond less than a person with healthy skin.

IS INFINI SAFE FOR DARKER SKIN TYPES?

The Infini is safe for all skin types because it’s needles are insulated and it is protective of the epidermis, where the pigment cells are. Also, the depth can be adjusted so the heat from the RF stays in the dermis, below the most superficial layer. Other devices are either not insulated, or try to push heat through the skin, potentially damaging the pigment cells.

HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?

With an experienced provider, the face treatment takes about 45 minutes, and if the neck is included, add another 15 minutes.

WHAT ABOUT AFTERCARE?

Skin care used must be only the prescribed creams by Anti-Aging. Do not use make up until the morning and care with touching the skin with unclean hands or towels. There are no activity or sun restrictions.

It is not recommended to use either ice or steroid creams after Infini. Similar to the Thermage, the results are dependant on inflammation, and “heat shock proteins”, both of which are inhibited with ice and steroids or anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprophen.

IS IT PAINFUL?

Most patients will rate the discomfort of the procedure a 3 or 4/10. The areas which might be higher are over the bone, such as the forehead, cheeks, and jawline. The forehead can be excluded if desired. All patients report no discomfort when the procedure is complete.

WHERE CAN I USE THE INFINI?

The INFINI can be used on all areas of the body. Most common areas are the neck and chest, arms, knees and tummy.

WHAT WILL I LOOK LIKE AFTER THE TREATMENT?

The initial redness subsides very rapidly in the first hour. It takes about 24-36 hours to resolve, as does the swelling. Rarely, patients report extend redness for a few more days.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

It varies with every patient and with what concern we are treating. To get maximum benefit a series of 3 treatments is recommended. Some people might be happy with only one, but that is uncommon. Younger patients wanting only preventative treatments can get one yearly. Acne scarring clients should consider at least 3, and might be more satisfied with 5 or 6. Consecutive treatments can be done as close as 3 or 4 weeks. If this is not possible because of your schedule, don’t worry, the final results are not affected.
